The most interesting game of round 9 in the East Asia Super League was a home defeat of their close opponent Taiwanese Fubon Braves (2-2) to second ranked South Korean Seoul Knights (3-1) 88-79 in the game for the first place. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Americans were the main players on the court. Power forward Darryl Monroe (202-1986, college: GMU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and center Jameel Warney (203-1994, college: Stony Brook) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Archie Goodwin (196-1994, college: Kentucky) with 26 points and 5 assists. Seoul Knights have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Pilots. Fubon Braves at the other side keep the second place with two games lost. Seoul Knights is looking forward to face HK Eastern (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fubon Braves will have a break next round.

Visiting Fubon Braves were defeated by HK Eastern in 103-93. American forward Cameron Clark (201-1991, college: Oklahoma, agency: Slash Sports) nailed 24 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and Dominic Gilbert accounted for 18 points and 9 rebounds. HK Eastern's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Troy Gillenwater (205-1988, college: NM State) came up with 26 points and 7 rebounds for Fubon Braves in the defeat. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. HK Eastern left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with Tochigi Brex. Fubon Braves at the other side keep the second position with two games lost.
